Follow the one way system through the village,
following the signs for Portmellon. When you reach the junction with
the “Ship Inn” on the corner, continue straight on and carry on up the
hill (this road is two way believe it or not!)
You will find us on the right hand side of the road just as you reach
the top of Polkirt Hill. We are a large cream coloured building next to
a steep single-track footpath.
Please note that check in/your room, is
available from 4.00 p.m. onwards on your day of arrival. Latest check
in time is 9.00 p.m. on your day of arrival. If you wish to arrive
earlier than 4.00 p.m. please contact us in advance to make arrangements

village showing our location.
We have a car park for two cars located 40 yards
(36 metres) from the house. Priority for spaces in this car park, are
allocated initially to those guests staying in our Double rooms with
balcony – “Victoria” and “Albert”.
For guests staying in other rooms, car parks are
available in the village, or there is ample free parking available
close by – 65 yards (60 metre) walk from the house.
You can stop outside the house (just beyond the
steps leading to the front door) momentarily to unload your luggage
quite safely. We strongly suggest that you do not try to drive up the
single-track footpath outside the front door.
We provide full directions and map on how to
find us and where to park your vehicle.

How to get to us without driving through
In high season, the narrow streets of the village are very difficult to
drive through, and we recommend a detour of about 7 miles, avoiding
having to drive through the village.
Take the B3273 from St.Austell, however just before the village, turn
right at the crossroads signposted Lost Gardens of Heligan, Portmellon
and Gorran, continue past the entrance for Heligan on your left and
follow signs for Gorran.
Upon reaching this village, bear left signposted Portmellon.
As you enter Portmellon, continue around the harbour with the sea on
your right, and continue up the steep hill, which takes you to the top
of Polkirt Hill.
